An Update on Witham Radio

Over the past months, we have been working towards launching a new community radio station, Witham Radio, designed to serve and celebrate our local area and communities.

The project aimed to create a platform for local voices, music, and be a place where people would have the opportunity to share stories and their pride in Lincoln.

After careful consideration, we have made the extremely difficult decision not to move forward with establishing an FM station at this time.

This was not an easy choice. A great deal of thought, planning, and enthusiasm went into exploring what the station could become. However, after reviewing the practical challenges involved in launching and sustaining the service, we concluded that it would not be possible to proceed at this time.

We want to sincerely thank everyone who showed interest in the project: from those who offered ideas and encouragement, to those who expressed interest in volunteering and contributed to our crowdfunder campaign. The support and positivity we received throughout the process means a great deal.

While this particular project will not be continuing, the conversations and partnerships that came out of it have been genuinely valuable. We remain great believers in local community media and the creative potential it can develop. With this, we are looking at alternative opportunities and hope to share more in the coming months.
